Robert Winship Woodruff was the natural heir to the Coca-Cola empire. His father was behind the US $ 25 Million buy-out of the Candler family interest in Coca-Cola in 1919. From 1923 until 1965 he presided over a period of momentous growth that took Coca-Cola into a global corporation.
